Field Hockey Falls to New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team fell to the University of New Haven, 6-0. The Owls fall to 2-6 overall and 2-4 in the Northeast 10, while the Chargers improve to 6-5 overall and 6-1 in the NE10.

Notes
  • Janelle Ward (Kitchener, Ontario) made 11 saves for the Owls. This was Ward's sixth game in double digit saves, and her second-straight.
  • Brianna Caffrey (Hampton, Conn.) and Brianna Shaw (Branford, Conn.) had three shots on goal each for SCSU. This was Shaw's second-straight game with three shots.
  • Kaitlyn Bourque (Enfield, Conn.) and Abigail Koonankeil (Hamden, Conn.) collected one shot on goal each.
  • SCSU had nine penalty corners compared to New Haven's four.
  • The Chargers outshot the Owls 22-9.
