The Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team will play their third of five consecutive home games on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, as they host The College of Saint Rose Golden Knights at 7:30 p.m.

SCSU Spectator Policy 

• In compliance with the University policy, all individuals - regardless of vaccination status - must wear a mask when attending indoor competitions at Pelz Gymnasium, James Moore Field House or the Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium. 
• Spectators will be asked to practice social distancing whenever possible whether indoors or outdoors. There will not be restrictions on fan attendance, specifically related to capacity, but fans are asked to remain in small, communal groups and maintain social distance from other groups while in the stands whenever possible.  
• SCSU continues to encourage fans and spectators to follow the guidance of public health officials, including social distancing and increased hand hygiene. Spectators will not be permitted near team benches or sidelines and may not interact with student-athletes before, during, or after the conclusion of the event on the playing fields/courts. Per University policy, the wearing of face masks is required in all campus buildings and at outside locations where social distancing is not possible.  

Last Time Out
Southern lost to Le Moyne, 56-55, on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 at James Moore Field House. Lyron Bennett (Boston, Mass.) led the scoring for Southern with 15 points, while also dishing out four assists and recording four steals. Ulyen Coleman (Brockton, Mass.) scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Off the bench, Jamaal Waters (Hartford, Conn.) scored six points and blocked four shots in 17 minutes. 

All-Time Against Saint Rose: 19-23 
Last Time They Met: Southern defeated Saint Rose, 91-72, during Senior Day on Feb. 22, 2020. Taurus Adams II scored 21 points and 19 rebounds. Greg Jones also scored 21 points and added nine rebounds, Lyron Bennett (Boston, Mass.) finished with 11 points and 12 assists, his first career double-double, and Levar Allen scored 15 points and shot 6-of-11 from the field. Zack Penn (New Hartford, Conn.) added 10 points and shot 5-of-7 from the field.

Overall, Southern has own five consecutive against Saint Rose, with their last four wins all by double-digits.

Week 2:

• Ulyen Coleman (Brockton, Mass.) was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll after he scored 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting and 3-of-6 from three-point range on the road against Jefferson. He also recorded a career-high five steals to go along with three rebounds

Week 1

• Bennett was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll following his performances at the Bridgeport Tournament.

• Waters is tied for fourth in blocked shots per game at 1.6.
