The Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team will play their fourth of five consecutive home games on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, as they host the Lincoln Lions of the
Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) for the first time in program history. Southern is currently 2-1 this season in the non-conference portion of their schedule, and 12-3 dating back to the 2018-2019 season.

SCSU Spectator Policy
- In compliance with the University policy, all individuals - regardless of vaccination status - must wear a mask when attending indoor competitions at Pelz Gymnasium, James Moore Field House or the Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium.
- Spectators will be asked to practice social distancing whenever possible whether indoors or outdoors. There will not be restrictions on fan attendance, specifically related to capacity, but fans are asked to remain in small, communal groups and maintain social distance from other groups while in the stands whenever possible.
- SCSU continues to encourage fans and spectators to follow the guidance of public health officials, including social distancing and increased hand hygiene. Spectators will not be permitted near team benches or sidelines and may not interact with student-athletes before, during, or after the conclusion of the event on the playing fields/courts. Per University policy, the wearing of face masks is required in all campus buildings and at outside locations where social distancing is not possible.

Lyron Bennett (Boston, Mass.) tied a career-high with 12 assists, while also scoring 16 points and grabbing six rebounds.
Ulyen Coleman (Brockton, Mass.) scored a team-high 16 points and
C.J. Seaforth (Hamden, Conn.) scored 15 points.
Zack Penn (New Hartford, Conn.) scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and blocked three shots, while
Jamaal Waters (Hartford, Conn.) also scored 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting.

SCSU history against the CIAA: Southern has played only two games against the CIAA in program history; During the 2002-2003 season against Bowie State, a 76-63 loss, and during the 2000-2001 against Winston-Salem University, a 79-62 loss. Lincoln has played just six games against the NE10 all-time; losing to Adelphi during on Nov. 30, 2015, losing to Adelphi on Dec. 15, 2013, defeating Pace on Dec. 18, 2014 and Jan. 2, 2014, and losing to Southern New Hampshire on Dec. 20, 2015 and Feb. 4, 2014.

- Ulyen Coleman (Brockton, Mass.) was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll after he scored 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting and 3-of-6 from three-point range on the road against Jefferson. He also recorded a career-high five steals to go along with three rebounds

- Bennett was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll following his performances at the Bridgeport Tournament.
