PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - The Southern Connecticut State University softball team were swept by Pace University, 7-2 and 2-1. The Owls move to 13-11 overall and 10-10 in the Northeast 10, while the Setters move to 9-15 overall and 9-11 in the NE10.
Game One Highlights
- Jacqueline Dumont (Nashua, N.H.) went 2-for-3 including a two-run home run.
- Sara Buscetto (Waterford, Conn.) went 1-for-3 including a double and one run scored.

Game 1: Pace 7, Southern Connecticut 2
- Buscetto got the Owls a baserunner in the lead-off spot knocking a double to left field. Dumont took her chance at bat and blasted a two-run home run putting the Owls up in the first inning.
- Pace exploded in the bottom half of the inning scoring five runs on three hits including a home run.
- The Setters picked up their sixth run of the day scoring on a groundout in the fifth inning and tacked on their seventh run on single to left field in the sixth inning.

Game 2: Pace 2, Southern Connecticut 1
- Lange kicked off the second inning tripling to center scoring Delaporta for the Owls only run of the game.
- Pace scored the eventual tying and game-winning runs in the third inning off two hits.
- The Setters stingy defense was the difference as they went on to sweep the Owls.
