NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University football coach Tom Godek has announced the Owls' schedule for the upcoming 2021 season. The Owls' slate will feature two non-conference matchups and four home games at Jess Dow Field. 

Southern will renew its rivalry against instate foe NCAA Division I Central Connecticut State University on Friday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. at Arute Field in New Britain, Conn. Announced last month, the matchup will be the 54th meeting all-time between the two teams and the first game since 2011. The following week, Southern will travel to Easton, Mass. to take on Stonehill on Saturday, Sept. 11 in its final non-conference tournament of the season.

The Owls open NE10 play for their home opener against Saint Anselm on Friday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field. They'll conclude the month of September at Elm City rival University of New Haven on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Dellacamera Field.

SCSU will open October at home when it hosts American International on Friday, Oct. 1 and will then head back out on the road at Assumption on Friday, Oct. 8. Southern Connecticut alums can circle the Oct. 16 matchup against Bentley at Jess Dow Field as part of the 2021 Homecoming festivities.

Back-to-back contests on the road place the Owls at Franklin Pierce on Saturday, Oct. 23 and at Pace on Saturday, Nov. 6. The Owls' regular-season concludes at home on Saturday, Nov. 13 against Stonehill with Senior Day festivities slated for the start of the game.
