The Southern Connecticut State University women's track and field team will compete in their fifth meet of the season as they head to Boston, Mass to take part in the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday, Jan. 28, 2022.

Notable 2021 Performances
William Sutherland III Invitational
  • Mackenzie Glenn (North Branford, Conn.) finished in first place in the long jump with a personal-best leap of 5.55 meters, while Kisha Francois finished in sixth place with a time of 4.88 meters.
  • Rachel Fleischer (Derby, Conn.) finished in first place in the triple jump with a leap of 11.56 meters. 
Yale Season Opener
  • Ella Maclean (Hanover, N.H.) finished in fourth place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.86. 
  • In the 60-meter hurdles, Kylie Neretich (Naugatuck, Conn.) finished in fifth place with a time of 9.52.
  • In the 500-meter dash, Rachel Dube (Windsor, Conn.) finished in second place with a time of 1:19.16.
  • Julia Mansfield (Wallingford, Conn.) finished in sixth place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:29.73.
  • The 4x400-meter relay team of Dube, Maclean, Dardielle Exantus (Stratford, Conn.), and Izzy Newbury (Moosup, Conn.) finished in fifth place with a time of 3:58.39, the fastest time for a Southern 4x400-meter relay team since Southern ran a 3:56.06 at the 2020 NE10 Indoor Conference Championships on Feb. 20, 2020. 
Sharon-Colyear Danville Season Opener 
  • Maclean set the SCSU program record in the 300-meter dash with a time of 41.63 in her collegiate debut and finished in ninth place overall, and had the second best finish among all freshmen runners.
  • In the 60-meter dash, Maclean finished in fourth place with a time of 7.79, which tied her with former SCSU All-American Briana Burt for the seventh best time in program history. In the preliminaries, Begotty Laroche (Manchester, Conn.) finished in 10th place with a time of 8.04.
  • Exantus finished in 10th place in the 300-meter dash with a time of 41.68. 
Art Kidish Elm City Challenge
  • Nasharie Davis (Middletown, Conn.) set an Elm City Challenge meet record in the 55-meter hurdles, recording a time of 8.17 for a first place finish.
  • Dube finished in fourth place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.85.
  • Mansfield finished in second place with a time of 2:34.00 in the 800-meter run. 
  • The 4x400-meter relay team of Newbury,  Kylie Neretich (Naugatuck, Conn.)Gillie Penna (North Branford, Conn.), and Dube finished in first place with a time of 4:10.49. 
  • Fleischer finished in first place in the triple jump with a leap of 11.06 meters. 
  • In her Southern debut, Glenn finished in second place in the long jump with a leap of 5.48 meters. Fleischer finished in third place with a leap of 5.09 meters. 
  • In her Southern debut, Morgan Sartor (Portland, Conn.) finished in fourth place at in the weight throw with a mark of 13.32 meters. 

Northeast 10 Weekly Honors
Week 5
  • Fleischer was named to the Northeast 10 Weekly Honor Roll for her performance at the William Sutherland III Invitational
Week 2
  • Maclean was named NE10 Track Rookie of the Week after competing at the Yale Season Opener. She became the first women's athlete to be named SCSU Rookie of the Week since Christine Volz during week seven of the 2016-2017 indoor season. 
  • The 4x400-meter relay team of Dube, Maclean, Exantus, and Newbury were named NE10 Relay Team of the Week after competing at the Yale Season Opener.
Week 1
  • Maclean was named to the Weekly Honor Roll after competing at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
  • Fleischer was named to the Weekly Honor Roll after competing at the Art Kidish Elm City Challenge.
