SCSU Football Falls To Bentley

WALTHAM, Mass. – Southern Connecticut football lost to Bentley, 24-3, in a Northeast 10 Conference game in Waltham, Mass.

Tylon Papallo (Meriden, Conn.) led the Owls with five catches for 49 yards, including a 23-yard reception while Shawn Martin (Scotch Plains, N.J.) finished with three catches for 35 yards while also rushing for 21 yards on the day. Martin also had punt and kick return yards of 16 yards, each, in the game. Szymon Gawlick (Newton, Mass.) accounted for the Owls' points for the day with a 33-yard field goal.

On defense, Hasan Dominick (Jersey City, N.J.) led the Owls with eight tackles including two for a loss while Joe Digello (Orange, Conn.) had seven tackles and one forced fumble. Ben Eichman (Merrimack, N.H.) had six tackles and recovered a fumbled for the Owls while Quinton Haughton (East Hartford, Conn.) had an interception.

Southern is back in action when they travel to American International for its final road game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 12 p.m. in Springfield, Mass. The Owls will play its final two games of the season at Jess Dow Field on Nov. 5 against Post and Nov. 12 against New Haven, both set for a 12 p.m. start with Senior Day slated for the start of the game against the Chargers in the season finale.
