  • More scoreless action ensued in the fifth inning, but the Owls came knocking again in the sixth. It was Dumont again to get Southern started after she reached on an error by the center fielder. Gabriella Festa (Patchogue, N.Y.) came in for Dumont on the base path and advanced to second on a Roy groundout. With one out, Liz DeRosa (Hudson, N.H.) ripped a double to right center field that brought Festa home and put the Owls within one once again.
  • The Greyhounds were relentless and responded quickly. After Alexis Charbonneau earned a walk during her time at the plate, Alicia Habib came in to pinch run. Habib advanced to second on a groundout and then to third base on a passed ball. Allison Ainley singled up the middle to bring Habib home for the Greyhounds' sixth and final run.
