Last Time Out:
Southern was defeated 20-7 loss to No. 10 nationally ranked Le Moyne on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Jess Dow Field. Bayleigh Takacs (Sparta, N.J.) became the 10th player in program history to record 100 career points, and had two goals and two assists in the game. Karlie Rowe (Niantic, Conn.) scored three goals, while Mia Pulisciano (Cheshire, Conn.) and Savannah Feinberg (Sound Beach, N.Y.) added one goal each. Brianna Shaw (Branford, Conn.) and Morgan Reilly (Stratford, Conn.) had one assist apiece. Robbins scooped up four ground balls and Shaw had five caused turnovers. 

Last Time They Met Assumption: Southern and Assumption last played on March 4, 2020 in Worcester, Mass. Assumption, ranked No. 14 at the time, won 19-6. Southern got two goals by Pulisciano, while Rowe, Takacs, Steph Seymourand Hailey Gordonalso scored goals. Gordon and Seymour also each dished out assists. Seymour also recorded seven draw controls

Milestone Watch
  • Rowe has scored 93 career goals and has 112 career points, and has recorded at least one goal or one assist in 43 of her 46 career games. She became the ninth player in program history with at least 100 points, and is currently sixth in career points scored. 
  • Rowe has 12 assists this season, a career-high and tied for 10th most in a single-season in program history. 
  • Takacs has recorded 63 goals, 39 assists, and 102 points in her career, and has recorded at least one point in 30 consecutive games dating back to April 13, 2019. She became the 10th player in program history to reach 100 points.
  • Takacs currently ranks fourth all-time in program history in career assists with 39. She is one assist away from becoming the fourth player in program history with at least 40 assists, and two away from tying Nicole Healey for third place. 
  • Shaw has caused 34 turnovers this season, second most in program history in a season, while Robbins is right behind her at 27. It's the first time in program history two players have caused at least 25 turnovers in the same season. 

What's At Stake
  • With a win, Southern will set a new program record for wins in a season. A win would also give Southern their first victory over a ranked opponent in program history,
  • With one more caused turnover, Shaw will tie the program single-season record of 35 set by Carolynn Keal in 2017. Robbins is currently tied for fourth on the single-season caused turnover leaderboard. 
  • Rowe can become the sixth player in program history with 100 career goals if she scores seven against Assumption.
  • Takacs can tie Healey for third in career assists if she has two against Assumption. 
  • Takacs needs one more point to reach the 50-point mark this season, while Rowe needs two. 
  • Jagodzinski is eight draw controls away from 100 in her career. 

NE10/NCAA Ranks
  • Shaw ranks second in the NE10 in caused turnovers with 34, while Robbins is tied for third with 27. Shaw is also 13th nationally in caused turnovers per game at 2.20 and Robbins is 23rd nationally at 1.93 per game. 
  • Shaw and Robbins are also one of three pairs of teammates in all of Division II with at least 27 caused turnovers this season. Others are from UVA Wise and West Chester.
  • Robbins also is tied for 10th in the NE10 in ground balls with 30. 
  • Southern is one of four teams in the NE10 with two players (Takacs and Rowe) ranked in the top 15 in goals scored in the conference. Also, New Haven, Pace, and Stonehill. 
  • Southern is also one of seven teams with two players (also Takacs and Rowe) ranked in the top 20 in total points. Also, Adelphi, Le Moyne, New Haven, Pace, Southern New Hampshire, and Stonehill. 
  • Southern is fourth nationally in caused turnovers per game at 13.07, and first in the NE10. 
Northeast 10 Weekly Honors
Week 9: 
  • Rowe was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll after she scored six goals and had one assist during a 1-1 week for Southern. She scored two goals against nationally-ranked Stonehill and scooped up two ground balls, then scored four goals and had one assist on her Senior Day in a 12-9 win against Saint Rose. She also scooped up two more ground balls against Saint Rose. 
Week 6:
  • Takacs was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll after she recorded 11 points, seven goals and four assists during a 1-1 week. Against American International, she scored two goals and handed out two assists. Against Franklin Piece, she recorded a new career-highs in goals with five and dished out two more assists.
  • Rileigh Bunton (Pelham, N.H.) was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll after she had 18 saves and allowed just 12 goals in a one-point win against AIC. Bunton had 11 saves in the second quarter alone, and made a key stop in the final seconds to seal the win. Her 18 saves are tied for the second-most in a game by an NE10 player this season. 
Week 3:
  • Rowe was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll after she scored a season-high five goals and had two assists against Saint Michael's in an 11-9 win. 
Week 2:
  • Sophie Kurtz (Cheshire, Conn.) was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll after she allowed just four goals and had six saves during Southern's 14-4 win against Post.
Week 1: 
  • Takacs was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll after she scored four goals and recorded three assists against Molloy.
