How It Happened
- In the 22nd minute, American International's Logan Shunney broke the deadlock from Shannon Cormier.
- With just over 11 minutes to play in the third quarter, Southern found the back of the net on a corner. Trinidad Rodriguez Ricchiuti (Adrogue, Buenos Aires, Argentina) slid it up from the insert as Tori Geaglone (Enfield, Conn.) launched it from the top of the circle for the equalizer.
- Just over six minutes into overtime, Kaitlyn Bourque (Enfield, Conn.) made a hard tackle at the 15-yard line and slotted it down to a breaking Brianna Caffrey (Hampton, Conn.). Caffrey crossed it to the front of the net for Kellerman, who stood on the doorstep and put it past the AIC's keeper Taylor Wildes.
-  Kaitlyn Parent (Glastonbury, Conn.) recorded three saves in net, while Caffrey, Rodriguez Ricchiuti, and Kayla Seimer (West Milford, N.J.) all dished out an assist each.
