Southern Connecticut women's swimming and diving will face a pair of Northeast 10 Conference foes this weekend when it hosts Adelphi on Friday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. at Hutchinson Natatorium before traveling to Albany, N.Y. on Sunday, Jan. 15 to take on Saint Rose.

Owls Notes
  • On Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Marist, Paola Castillo (San Diego, Calif.) won two events, and finished second in a third while Jasmine Uricchio (Enfield, Conn.), Maddie Dean (Lawrence, Ks.) and Hailey Nyquist (Staten Island, N.Y.) also won for the Owls.
  • Uricchio won the 1,650 Yard Freestyle convincingly, touching at 17:46.75, ahead of the second-place finisher at 18:24.91. Uricchio's time was the second-fastest this season in the Northeast 10. 
  • Castillo took the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:59.20 to help the Owls jump out to an early lead. Castillo's time was the sixth-best in the NE10 this season.
  • Castillo picked up her second win of the meet when she grabbed first place in the 500 Free with a time of 5:16.59. Castillo's time was the sixth-best of the year in the conference.
  •  Hailey Nyquist won the 50 Yard Backstroke with a time of 28.70.
  • Justice Glasgow finished third in the 100 Fly event with a time of 1:00.41, just :00.19 behind the second-place swimmer. Glasgow's time was the sixth-fastest in the NE10 this year.
  • Maddie Dean won the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:15.28 followed by Castillo at 2:17.42 and Uricchio at 2:20.41. Dean's time is the third-fastest of the season in the conference.
