Ewing, NJ – Southern Connecticut women's track and field completed competition at the TCNJ Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey in Ewing, N.J.
Izzy Newbury had a hand in three wins for the Owls as she won the 400 Meter Hurdles and was part of the 4x100 and 4x400 Meter Relay teams that won. Anna-Sashia Jones and Kisha Francois were also part of both winning relay teams. Ella Maclean also won the 200 Meter Dash and Hannah Caiola won the 400 Meter Dash.
Southern Connecticut's 4x100 Relay team of Dardielle Exantus, Anna-Sasha Jones, Kisha Francois, and Isabella Newbury finished first at the TCNJ Invitational. The Owls posted a time of 46.62, finishing ahead of Felician and Rutgers-Newark.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Avery Winters, Anna-Sasha Jones, Kisha Francois, and Isabella Newbury won first place with a time of 3:54.66 while the "B" team of Hannah Caiola, Ella Maclean, Patrice Mansfield, and Julia Mansfield finished second with a mark of 3:57.16.
In the 200 Meter Dash, Southern Connecticut took the top two spots led by Ella Maclean who posted a time of 25.11 followed by a second-place finish for Jones with a time of 25.57. Newbury's time of 1:04.1 won the 400 Meter Hurdle event while Patrice Mansfield was fourth at 1:08.53.
Caiola finished first in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 57.13, while Avery Winters finished third at 57.85.
Francois finished second in the 100 Meter dash with a mark of 12.39 and Exantus finished fourth at 12.54.
Freshman Maddie Hathorn finished fourth in the Pole Vault with a mark of 2.80m.
In the 1500 meters, Courtney Henchcliffe finished third with a time of 4:59.90.
Patrice Mansfield finished third in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.21. Newbury was fifth at 15.19 while Gillian Penna was tenth at 16.78.
