Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

SCSU Women's Soccer Falls To Saint Michael's, 4-2

COLCHESTER, VT. – Southern Connecticut women's soccer dropped a Northeast-10 Conference matchup at Saint Michael's, 4-2, in Colchester, Vt. With the loss, Southern falls to 3-3-1 overall and 0-2-0 in NE10 play while Saint Michael's improved to 5-1-1 overall and 1-1-1 in conference action.



Alexie Rosado scored both of the Owls' goals in the game. Saint Michael's the game's first goal in the 15th minute of play. Moments later, Sydney Myers maneuvered through the Purple Knights' defense to the top of the box. The keeper came out of the goal to play the ball which Myers fired off her legs. The rebound landed in front of Rosado who deposited her second goal of the season while Myers was credited with an assist for her team-leading 10th point of the season.

Saint Michael's regained the lead in the second half to jump out to a 2-1 advantage. In the 65th minute, Rosado took a pass from Nicky Deslauriers on the sideline, dribbled around one defender to the top of the box and blasted a shot from distance to the top right corner to tie the game at 2-2. Saint Michael's scored again in the 78th and 85th minutes of play.

Southern is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 2 when it travels to Worcester, Mass. to take on Assumption at 7 p.m. Southern returns home to host Southern New Hampshire on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
