SCSU Women's Soccer Draws Against Assumption 1-1

WORCESTER, Mass. - Southern Connecticut Women's Soccer drew against Assumption University 1-1 behind a clutch goal from Sydney Myers. The Owls move to 3-3-2 on the season.

The Greyhounds started off the scoring in the 10th minute when Haleigh Ward drove one past Owls keeper Kaelen Fabry. For the remaining 80 minutes, Fabry was perfect, totaling 5 saves on the day.

The Owls were efficient, with 10 of 11 shots on goal. However, they could not find the back of the net until Sophomore standout Sydney Myers headed on past the Greyhound's goalie in the 86th minute off a beautiful feed from Alexie Rosado. Myers is now up to team-leading five scores on the season, with Rosado collecting her second assist (tied for team lead)

The Owls return next for a homecoming weekend matchup against SNHU this Sunday, 10/6 at 1:00pm.
