MANSFIELD, Mass. - Southern Connecticut men's swimming and diving first-year student-athlete Vincent Roney has been named the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday, Jan. 28. 

Roney finished third in the 1650 Yard Freestyle with a time of 17:44.83 which ranks sixth in the NE10 and is within the top 200 times in NCAA Division II.  

The Owls return on Thursday, Feb. 13 for the start of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships as they look to capture their fourth consecutive championship.
