WORCESTER, Mass. - The Southern Connecticut men's swimming and diving team sits in fourth place and has recorded a total of 258 points after Day Two of the NE10 Championships. The day featured impressive performances across the board, in the individual races and in the team relays, where the Owls captured three medals.
3 Meter Diving
Elliott Speckhard recorded 381 points and secured the bronze medal for the Owls in the three meter diving.
Cole Mullarkey finished in sixth place and recorded a total of 275 points.
50 Yard Freestyle
Jack Fry posted a third place finish and secured the bronze medal for the Owls in a time of 20.96.
Ben Frazer came in ninth place in a time of 21.19 and
Daniel Lazar came in 11th place in a time of 21.40.
200 Yard Freestyle Relay
The "A" relay team of
Travis Scott,
Daniel Lazar,
Ben Frazer and
Jack Fry secured the bronze medal in a time of 1:24.33. The "B" relay team of
Mason Durant,
Samuel Whitaker,
Aiden Kennedy and
Richie Hall finished in a time of 1:27.93 in 14th place.
500 Yard Freestyle
Dylan Prescher finished in fourth place in a time of 4:38.58 in the 500 Free.
Samir Souidi finished in ninth, in a time of 4:41.41 and
Samuel Whitaker finished in a time of 4:46.77 in 13th place.
400 Yard Medley Relay
The "A" relay team of
Daniel Lazar,
Nicholas Fournier,
Mason Durant and
Richie Hall finished in fourth place in a time of 3:30.98. The "B" relay team of
Kris Janney,
Samuel Whitaker,
Jacob Tanner and
Travis Scott finished in 14th place in a time of 3:34.18
200 Yard IM
Kris Janney posted a time of 1:58.51 in 16th place.
The four day meet continues Saturday with the 1 meter diving finals, 400 yard individual medley, 100 yard butterfly, 200 yard freestyle. 100 yard breaststroke, 100 yard backstroke and 200 yard medley relay.
