SCSU Women's Swimming and Diving Places Second at Fairfield Invitational

FAIRFIELD, CONN-- Southern Connecticut women's swimming and diving placed second at the Fairfield Invitational, scoring 403 points.

1 Meter Diving

Lexi Dominguez placed eighth scoring 131.45 points, following her was Lakshimi Garofalo in ninth at 118.80.

200 Meter Medley Relay

A Southern Connecticut relay team consisting of Julia Pitchell, Ally Quitos, Aralyn Vogel and Reina Loiacano placed fourth with a time of 2:08.69. Another Southern Connecticut relay team of Lexi Dominguez, Rachael Bing, Claire Hanna and Emily Denise placed sixth with a time of 2:13.80.

800 Meter Freestyle

Paola Castilo placed third with a time of 9:53.73. Kali Dominguez placed fifth with a time of 10:02.35

200 Meter Freestyle

Molly Kennedy placed third with a time of 2:12.07. Sierra DuCharne placed seventh with a time of 2:17.88.

100 Meter Backstroke

Abby Lyons placed fourth at 1:09.98. Julia Pitchell placed seventh at 1:10.88.

100 Meter Breastroke

Jillian Pitchell placed seventh with a time of 1:23.11. Bing finished eighth at 1:23.30.

200 Meter Butterfly

Jasmine Uricchio placed fourth at 2:32.47, following her was Hanna at 2:40.63.

50 Meter Freestyle

Jilian Pitchell placed seventh at 29.49. Uricchio placed ninth at 29.86.

100 Meter Freestyle

Kennedy placed second with a time of 1:00.73. Loiacano finished eighth at 1:04.25.

200 Meter Backstroke

Vogel placed fourth at 2:30.69. Zoe McNeil placed sixth at 2:36.87

200 Meter Breaststroke

Ellie Baker placed third with a time of 2:48.53. Quitos placed sixth at 2:52.71.

400 Meter Freestyle

Ava Emmerich placed fifth with a time of 4:54.78, following her was DuCharme in sixth at 4:58.36.

100 Meter Butterfly

Kennedy placed fifth at 1:08.12, following her was Sara Roney at 1:10.72.

200 Meter Individual Medley (IM)

Lyons finished seventh at 2:34.69, following her Emma St Hillaire placed eighth at 2:35.03.

400 Meter Freestyle Relay

A Southern Connecticut relay team of Kennedy, Jilian Pitchell, Castillo and Uricchio placed 3rd at 4:16.84. Another Southern Connecticut relay team of Baker, Kali Dominguez, Garofalo and McNeil placed sixth at 4:22.81.

Southern Connecticut is back in action when they host Central Connecticut State and Wagner on Oct. 31 at 5:00pm at the Hutchinson Natatorioum.
