WEST CHESTER, PA.-- In its first meet of the 2024-2025 season, Southern Connecticut women's swimming and diving fell to West Chester 164-71. 

200 Yard Medley Relay
The Owls 200 yard medley relay team of Reina Loiacano, Ellie Baker, Kali Dominguez and Lakshmi Garofalo placed third with a time of 1:56.73. 

1000 Yard Freestyle
Seirra DuCharme placed third with a time of 11:18.37. Following her, was Ava Emmerich finished 5th at 11:30.86. 

200 Yard Freestyle
Paola Castillo placed third with a time of 2:05.30 and Reina Loiacano placed 5th at 2:06.25. 

50 Yard Freestyle
Molly Kennedy took home first with a time of 24.99. Emily Denise placed 5th with a time of 25.83. 

200 yard IM
Ellie Baker finished fourth with a time of 2:21.30, following her was Claire Hanna with a time of 2:23.21. 

100 yard Butterfly
Emma St Hillaire placed fourth with a time of 1:04.21. Lakshmi Garofalo placed 6th with a time of 1:05.04. 

100 Yard Freestyle
Molly Kennedy won the event with a time of 53.54. Jilian Pitchell placed third with a time of 56.79. 

100 Yard Backstroke 
Lexi Dominguez placed 4th with a time of 1:05.82 and Ainsley Dall placed 5th at 1:07.76. 

500 Yard Freestyle
Jasmine Urichio placed 2nd with a time of 5:23.18. Kali Dominguez placed 4th with a time of 5:32.58. 

100 Yard Backstroke
Emma St Hillaire placed 3rd with a time of 1:11.65 and Abby Lyons placed 4th at 1:11.66. 

400 Yard Freestyle Relay
The Owls 400 yard freestyle relay team of Molly Kennedy, Jilian Pitchell, Emily Denise and Aralyn Vogel won the event with a time of 3:48.38. 

Southern is back in action on Friday Oct 3 at 6:00pm and Saturday Oct 4 at noon when they to Fairfield to compete in the Fairfield Invitational.
