SCSU Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Finishes 5th at New England Championships

AMHERST, Mass. - Southern Connecticut Women's Outdoor Track & Field placed fifth at the 2025 NEICAAA New England Championships in a field of 29 Division I, II, and III teams. They scored 56 points, behind UMass Amherst, Rhode Island, Holy Cross, and New Hampshire.

TRACK
Hannah Caiola won the 200m Dash with a personal best time of 23.81.

Kisha Francois finished fifth in the 100m Dash, setting a personal best for the second-straight week with a time of 11.82. Dardielle Exantus placed 19th, finishing at 12.44.

Avery Winters placed fifth in the 400m with a time of 56.29.

Julia Mansfield's time of 2:15.72 in the 800m was good for fifth place. Abigail Bajorek placed 25th in the same event with a time of 2:22.50.

Courtney Henchcliffe finished seventh in the 5000m, crossing the finish line at 17:18.14. Megan Whitnell PRd with a time of 17:54.84, good for 14th place.

PJ Dauphinais took 80 seconds off previous best time in the 10000m, placing sixth with a time of 37:29.28.

Patrice Mansfield finished in sixth place in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 14.00.

Kimberly Moran placed sixth in the 3000m Steeplechase at 10:59.31.

The Owls' 4x100m relay team of Dardielle Exantus, Kisha Francois, Avery Winters, and Hannah Caiola placed third with a time of 46.68.

The 4x400 team of Winters, Francois, Caiola, and Gillian Penna finished third with a time of 3:46.23.

Southern's 4x800 team of Leticia DoNascimento, Erin Sola, Abigail Bajorek, and Julia Mansfield placed sixth at 9:30.74.

FIELD
Kisha Francois placed eighth in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.51m (18-01.00).

Uliana Pokutnia placed 23rd in the Long Jump, jumping 10.26m (33-08.00).

Belle Smith finished 12th in the Shot Put, throwing 12.26m (40-02.75). Darla Jagrosse was close behind in 14th with a mark of 11.99m (39-04.00). Kayla Johnson finished 21st, throwing 11.24m (36-10.50).

Smith also placed 7th in the Discus Throw with a mark of 40.92m (134-03). Jagrosse placed 17th, throwing 37.05m (121-07).

In the Hammer Throw, Smith placed fifth, throwing 51.76m (169-10). Celine Bozukluian threw 47.31m (155-02), good for ninth place.
