SCSU Women's Track & Field Sits in First after Day 1 of 2025 NE10 Championships

HOOKSETT, N.H. - Southern Connecticut Women's Outdoor Track & Field leads the pack after Day 1 of the 2025 Northeast-10 Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Their score of 82 places them in first, followed by New Haven at 51 and St. Anselm at 44.50. Kimberly Moran also competed at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational. 



LARRY ELLIS
At the Larry Ellis Invitational, Kimberly Moran placed ninth in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 11:09.26. 

NE10 HEPTATHLON
Gillian Penna finished Day 1 in second place in the Heptathlon with a score of 2601. Ginny Mullen ended the day right behind her in third with a score of 2510. 

Mullen won the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.31. Penna finished in third at 15.74. 

Penna took home second in the High Jump, clearing 1.53m (5-0.25). Mullen placed fourth after clearing 1.47m (4-9.75). 

Penna's throw of 8.75m (28-8.5) in the Shot Put was good for fourth place. Mullen placed ninth at 7.89m (25-10.75). 

Penna and Mullen finished back-to-back in second and third in the 200m Dash with respective times of 26.52 and 26.79. 

FIELD
Belle Smith won the Hammer Throw with a mark of 52.93m (173-8). Celine Bozukluian took home bronze with a throw of 48.58m (159-4). Sydney Dolbier finished in ninth, throwing 42.98m (141-0), and Valerie Torres placed 16th, throwing 34.72m (113-11). 

Maddie Hathorn won her fourth consecutive NE10 Pole Vault title, clearing a personal best 3.40m (11-1.75). Gabriela Dinisoe took home her second straight silver medal, also setting a PR at 3.20m (10-6). 

Kisha Francois won the Long Jump with a season best jump of 5.81m (19-0.75). That marks her second NE10 outdoor title after winning the event in 2022. Deja Fitzpatrick-Bell scored in fifth place, jumping 5.45m (18-2.25), and Delaney Speed finished in ninth after jumping 5.18m (17-0). Uliana Pokutnia placed 12th at 5.10m (16-8.75). 

Hailey DeNucci finished 12th in the Javelin Throw, throwing 29.13m (95-7).

TRACK
PJ Dauphinais won the 10,000m with a time of 39:42.71. Emilie Noreika took home bronze with a time of 41:10.12. 

The Owls' 4x400m relay team of Erin Sola, Courtney Henchcliffe, Abigail Bajorek, and Julia Mansfield grabbed gold with a time of 9:27.14. 

Courtney Henchcliffe finished fourth in the 1500 with a time of 4:43.77. Erin Sola was close behind in sixth at 4:50.24. 

Kisha Francois' time of 12.15 in the 100m Dash preliminaries was the second-fastest, sending her to tomorrow's finals. Dardielle Exantus also qualified with the sixth-best time, 12.58. Joelle Budz finished in 15th at 13.14. 

Patrice Mansfield recorded the third-fastest preliminary time in the 100m Hurdles at 14.55, qualifying for the finals. 

The Owls took home three of the eight spots in the 400m final. Hannah Caiola's time of 55.29 was the fastest of the day, and Avery Winters' time of 57.08 was the second fastest. Brianna Cole was the final qualifier at 1:00.42. Lindsay Drozd finished 11th at 1:02.16. 

Julia Mansfield and Abigail Bajorek both qualified for tomorrow's 800m final. Mansfield's time of 2:16.22 was the fourth fastest, and Bajorek's time of 2:21.55 was the eighth. 

Southern captured the top three spots in the 200m Dash prelims and four of the eight finalists. Hannah Caiola's time of 24.45 was the fastest, followed by Kisha Francois (24.85) and Avery Winters (24.93) in second and third. Dardielle Exantus qualified with a time of 25.84. Deja Fitzpatrick-Bell finished in 12th at 26.07, and Brianna Cole came in 20th at 26.99. Joelle Budz and Lindsay Drozd rounded out the pack in 21st and 23rd with respective times of 27.01 and 27.18.
