Field Hockey, Gymnastics & Women's Lacrosse Highlight CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team

Southern Connecticut State Unviersity's field hockey, gymnastics and women's lacrosse programs were represented on the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators. 

Field Hockey's Trinidad Rodriguez Ricchiuti and Kyla Hart-Perron, gymnastic's Libby Allen and Ava Kelly as well as women's lacrosse's Amelia Mansfield and Macy Vail were named to the prestigious At-Large team. The At-Large team is comprised of sports that do not have their own stand-alone awards. Member institutions may nominate up to six student-athletes with a qualifying grade-point average of 3.50-or-higher and must be starters or regular contributors. 

Rodriguez Ricchiuti was previously named to the 2024 NE10 Academic All-Conference team and was also named a NFHCA Scholar of Distinction. Rodriguez Ricchiuti was a two-time All-NE10 selection in 2022 and 2023. She will graduate with a bachelor's degree in biotechnology with a 3.94 grade-point average. Hart-Perron is a sophomore with a 3.87 GPA in Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management. 

Allen was a three-time GEC Scholar-Athlete and two-time All-American while Kelly was also a three-time GEC Scholar-Athlete and also earned All-American honors last season. Allen recently graduated with a bachelor's in elementary education with a 3.54 GPA. Kelly is currently completing her degree in biology and boasts a 3.98 grade-point average. 

Vail was recently named to the NE10 Second Team in her first season with the Owls. Vail currently carries a 3.94 GPA in business administration. Mansfield also graduated this year with a degree in business administration while posting a 3.84 grade-point average. 

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure. The College Division Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) governance structure.
