In game one, Lewis got the start and tossed 6.2 innings and allowed two runs on six hits and struck out one, in relief it was DeLutri who tossed the final out, which was a strikeout. Offensively, Samantha LaFemina went 1-for-3 with an RBI, while four other Owls had a hit.

After a quiet first three innings, due to strong pitching by Lewis, the Greyhounds struck first in the top of the 4th inning, when they scored two runs on one hit and two errors to take a 2-0 lead.

Another quiet inning occurred in the fifth and the Owls began their comeback in bottom of the 6th inning. The inning began when Gianna Iaquinto reached first on an error. After a pop out by Olivia Young, the Owls called on Christina DeNovellis to pinch hit. DeNovellis answered as she singled to put runners on first and second for Lafemina. LaFemina singled through the right side and scored Iaquinto, to cut the Greyhound lead to 2-1. That was the last of the Owls' offense as after a quiet 7th inning, the Greyhounds took the 2-1 win.
