SCSU Women's Lacrosse Earns IWLCA Academic Honors

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse placed seven student-athletes on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the IWLCA on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Anna Meserve, Abigail Nolan, Madison Olmstead, Nicolette Spotlow, Amelia Tennis, Macy Vail and Allie Welder were all honored. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Merserve boasts a 3.99 cumulative GPA while majoring in Nursing while Vail carried a 3.95 GPA as a Business Administration major. Nolan completed her degree in Biology with a 3.84 GPA while Spotlow had a 3.78 GPA while completing her degree in Sport Management. Welder had a 3.73 GPA while majoring in Nursing while Olmstead finished her first season at Southern with a 3.64 GPA in Exercise in Sport Science. Tennis rounded out the field with a 3.56 GPA while majoring in Communications, Media & Screen Studies.

As a team, Head Coach Kevin Siedlecki's squad combined for a 3.44 GPA and were honored as one of 357 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2025-26 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
