SCSU Athletics & Recreation Launches Homecoming 2026 Campaign

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Southern Connecticut State University Athletics & Recreation has officially launched the Homecoming 2026 Campaign, with online giving underway through Sunday, October 11, 2026.

The campaign coincides with Southern Connecticut's Homecoming and Family Weekend on October 9-11, 2026. In addition to campus programming, Southern Connecticut will host several events over the weekend:
  • On Friday, Oct. 9, SCSU Athletics & Recreation and SCSU Swimming & Diving will dedicate its new, state-of-the-art video board in honor of Tim Quill – the Owls' longtime coach who tragically passed in February 2026.
  • SCSU Women's Soccer will host Bentley for a Northeast 10 Conference matchup on Friday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
  • SCSU Football will host Monroe on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
  • Saturday, Oct. 10 will also feature SCSU Swimming & Diving's annual alumni meet at 10 a.m. at Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium while Volleyball (10 a.m.), SCSU Baseball (11:30 a.m.) and SCSU Softball (10 a.m.) will also host alumni games.
  • In addition, SCSU Men's and Women's Basketball will host open practices. The men will take the court in James Moore Field House at 10 a.m. followed by the women at 11 a.m.
The annual campaign invites alumni, families, friends, faculty, staff, and fans to support their favorite SCSU Athletics and Recreation teams and scholarships. The drive continues a tradition built around three pillars:
  • Honor the Past: Remember your time as an SCSU student-athlete and the sense of community it gave you.
  • Honor the Present: Support the current Owls men and women who are giving their all on the field, court, pool and mat.
  • Honor the Future: Help build SCSU athletic and recreation programs that continue to create champions.
Gifts can be directed to any of Southern's athletic programs, including Men's and Women's Soccer, Basketball, Cross Country / Track & Field, Swimming & Diving, Baseball, Softball, Football, Field Hockey, Women's Volleyball, Gymnastics, Women's Lacrosse, Cheerleading, Club Sports, the Carolyn Vanacore Women & Girls In Sports Fund, the Football Alumni Network Scholarship and the Athletic Director's Fund.
