Why Southern:

"Good Athletics combined with good academics. A coach I like and an environment I feel I will strive and grow within, as a person and as an athlete."

Personal:

· Major: Economics/Finance

· Favorite TV show: Supernatural

· Favorite movie: Warrior

· Favorite food: My mom's pesto sheet pan lasagna

· Favorite ice cream: Chocolate Panda Paws

· What the SCSU logo means: "It means showing integrity on and off the pool deck, showing others how SCSU athletes carry themselves in and out of competition."

· Post-SCSU goal: Pursue a career in private equity, portfolio management, or financial analysis.

· Fun fact: As a homeschooled athlete I never had the luxary of a constant, strong high school team environment, so when I started swimming at a higher level I had to push myself. That meant in practice on my own, in the weight room on my own, and during recovery on my own. When my high school coach would not allow me to practice for a high level club far away I had to make the hard decision to drop highs chool and pursue my true and best potential. This meant driving and hour and a half each way, 6 days a week to practice with a team and coaches that would put me above the average. While that switch pushed me to my absolute limits in and out of the pool it benefited me and countless ways. I grew in character, ability, and most of all patience. The patience of knowing that the long drives and the hard lonely practices would pay off.
