Nick Restaino is in his first season as an assistant coach at Southern Connecticut State University.
Restaino joins the Owls after previous serving as the head coach at Fordham University. In his seven seasons (2005-2011) as Fordham’s skipper, the 2005 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year guided the Rams to a 196-168-2 record. During his tenure, the Rams earned three Atlantic-10 tournament berths and had nine players selected in the MLB draft.
Before taking over as head coach at Fordham, he spent seven seasons as the Rams’ associate head coach and recruiting coordinator. Restaino also gained coaching experience as an assistant coach at Manhattan College (1994-1995) and Lehman College (1993-1994).
Restaino holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Fordham.
