Chris Lorenti is in his 10th year as an assistant coach for the Owls in 2018. After previously handling the team’s linebackers and also serving as Special Teams Coordinator and offensive line coach, he is in his fourth season as Defensive Coordinator. He will also handle the secondary.
Lorenti was a four-year contributor to the Owls from the linebacker position.
He closed his career with 176 tackles. As a junior, he finished third on the squad with 82 tackles and tallied a team-high three fumble recoveries.
At the conclusion of his playing career, Lorenti was just one of 14 players in the history of the Owls’ program who served as a captain for two seasons.
He currently resides in New Haven.
