Paul Templeton

One of the most decorated student-athletes in the Owls’ storied history, Paul Templeton is in his fourth season as an assistant coach in 2018.

A three-year captain, he earned All-America honors for his play on the pitch as a junior and followed that up with Academic All-America laurels from the College Sports Information Directors of America as a senior.

Templeton was a four-time All-Conference selection and three-time selection to the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Soccer All-Academic Team. He was also named the 2010 NE-10 Defensive Player of the Year and the 2010 ECAC Defensive Player of the Year. Templeton also collected All-New England and All-Region laurels, along with Academic All-Region accolades.

He went on to play professionally with CFC Azul after graduation. Templeton has gained coaching experience with the South Central Premier program at multiple levels and as the head coach at East Granby (Conn.) High School.

Templeton holds bachelor’s degrees in exercise science and physical education from SCSU.
