As a Junior in 2006-07:
Took third in the 200-yard backstroke and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke and the 1000-yard freestyle at Springfield on 10/28…Placed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke against Yale on 11/3…Part of the 4x100-yard medley relay team that finished second against New Jersey on 11/12… Finished fifth in the 100-yard backstroke and the 500-yard freestyle and sixth in the 200-yard backstroke at the Northeast-10 Championships on 12/1-3…Took third in the 200-yard backstroke and the 1000-yard freestyle against Queens and St. Rose on 2/2…Finished fifth in the 100-yard backstroke, ninth in the 1650-yard freestyle and 15th in the 200-yard backstroke at the Metropolitan Championships on 2/16.

As a Sophomore in 2005-06:
Part of the 4x50-yard medley relay team that finished fourth at the Sonny Werblin Invitational at Rutgers on 10/21-22…Took third in the 200-yard backstroke at Central Connecticut State on 10/29…Part of the 4x100-yard freestyle relay team that finished third at New Jersey on 11/5…Part of the 4x50-yard medley relay team that finished second against Massachusetts on 11/6…Finished seventh in the 100-yard backstroke, ninth in the 200-yard backstroke, 14th in the 500-yard freestyle and competed in the 4x50-yard medley relay, 4x100-yard medley relay and 4x50-yard freestyle relay at the Northeast-10 Championships on 12/9-10…Part of the 4x100-yard medley relay team that finished third, and also placed fourth in the 200-yard backstroke against Coast Guard on 1/14…Part of the 4x100-yard freestyle relay team that finished fourth, and also placed sixth in the 200-yard backstroke against Marist on 1/21.

As a Freshman in 2004-05:
Finished fourth in the 200-yard backstroke, fifth in the 100-yard backstroke and 15th in the 1650-yard freestyle at the Northeast-10 Championships on 12/10-11...Also part of the
4x50-yard medley relay that finished ninth at that competition. 

Before Southern Connecticut State University:
Attended Trumbull (Conn.) High School…Team captain as a senior…Also played lacrosse.

Son of Diane and Albert Palatiello…Has one sister, Alexei…A sociology major.
