Kayla Padroff is an assistant softball coach at Southern Connecticut State. She is involved in recruiting, scouting, player development, practice planning and day-to-day operations, working with position players on defense, baserunning and offensive preparation while assisting with game strategy and team culture.
Padroff graduated from Springfield College in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in sport management and earned a master's degree in educational leadership and human development from Wesleyan University in 2025.
As a player, she was a three-year starter and letterwinner at Springfield and spent one season at Simmons University, earning a spot on the NEWMAC All-Sportsmanship Team in 2017-18.
Her coaching career includes serving as assistant coach at Southern Connecticut in 2025-26, head coach at Cheshire Academy from 2023-25, head coach at Loomis Chaffee from 2021-23, assistant coach at Kent School from 2019-21 and assistant coach at Cheshire Academy from 2018-19.
She led Cheshire Academy to back-to-back New England championships in 2024 and 2025 as head coach. Overall, she has been part of five New England titles as a player and coach, winning as a player in 2013 and 2014 and as an assistant in 2019.
Padroff represented the United States as an assistant coach with Maccabi USA U16 and U18 volleyball teams, winning gold medals in international competition in 2022.
She is from Cheshire, Connecticut. Her mother, Kimberly Padroff, is a Southern Connecticut alumna.
