Kevin Siedlecki was named the fourth head coach in Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse history on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019. Siedlecki will enter his ninth season as the Owls head coach in 2025-26. 

The 2025 season saw the Owls post a program-record 10 wins and just the second winning campaign in program history. The Owls also saw nine program records broken. Junior Macy Vail was named to the All-NE10 Second Team, junior Allie Palmer, sophomore Anna Meserve and junior Caelan Connors were all named to the All-NE10 Third Team and freshmen Breya Montague and Rebecca Sibley were both named to the All-NE10 Rookie Team. It was the most all-conference selections that Southern Connecticut has earned in a single season in program history, after setting the previous program-record of five all-conference selections in 2024.

The Owls built off their record-breaking 2023 season with an almost identical record in 2024 as they finished 8-9 overal.. The Owls featured five players named to All-NE10 teams highlighed by Hannah Holmes earning All-NE10 Second Team honors, Kirsten McIntire and Sarah Robbins earning All-NE10 Third Team honors, and Anna Meserve and Allie Welder earned All-Rookie Team honors. McIntire was also named to the NE10 Academic All-Conference team. McIntire led the Owls with 55 goals and 62 points with seven assists, while ranking in the top five in the NE10 in goals and points. Her 55 goals and 62 points are the second-most in a single-season in program history.

The Owls enjoyed a record-breaking season in 2023 as they won a program-record nine games. Individually, Bayleigh Takacs, sophomore Brianna Shaw and first-year student Caelan Connors received All-Northeast 10 Conference honors. Takacs and Shaw had record-breaking seasons, while Takacs completed an impressive career that saw her at the top of the all-time records for single-game, single-season and career assist marks as well as the single-game and single-season point record. Shaw also ascended the charts for caused turnovers and draw controls. Takacs and Shaw were also honored for their work in the classroom as they earned CSC Academic All-District honors and were also named to the NE10 Spring Academic All-Conference team. Takacs and Shaw also headlined the largest group honored on the  IWLCA Academic Honor Roll which also included Kirsten McIntire, Liney WhiteAlexa Alchimio, Maggie Kalinich, Sophire Kurtz, and Ailis Wargin.

With the return of sports at Southern for the 2021 season, Siedlecki navigated the Owls through a strenuous season, but featured historic accomplishments throughout the year. Southern caused 10.22 turnovers per game, which ranked 26th nationally and sixth in the Northeast 10. Southern also featured a balanced offensive attack, with four players recording at least 15 points during the nine game season. The Owls took victories on the road against American International in the season opener and against Saint Rose in the first matchup ever between the two programs. Southern came back to win against Saint Rose with four unanswered goals in the final 10 minutes. Southern also played in the NE10 Conference Tournament for the first time, as they were the No. 5 seed in the Southwest Division and were matched up with No. 4 seed New Haven. After the season, Morgan Chase received Third-Team All-NE10 honors and Jettke Gray was named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team. Chase became the third player in program history to be named to the NE10's First, Second, or Third-Team, and received the honor after she shifted to the defensive side of the ball for the first time in her career. Gray, a transfer from Ithaca College, became the eighth player in program history to be named to the All-Rookie team.

The Owls were on pace for one of their best seasons in recent years during the 2020 season before the suspension of sports because of COVID-19. Southern sat 2-1 over their first three games, and scored their most goals, 50, and allowed their fewest goals. 22, over their first three games in program history. After facing two nationally ranked top 15 games before the season’s cancellation, the Owls ended with a positive goal differential. Steph Seymour recorded 14 draw controls against Dominican to tie the single-game program record, while Bayleigh Takacs recorded nine points against Post to tie the single-game program. After five games, the Owls had the Northeast 10’s Conference leader in points, draw controls, and saves while leading the conference as a team in draw controls, caused turnovers, and saves and finishing top five in goals scored and assists. 
 
Siedlecki’s first season as head coach saw the Owls recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as a 2019 Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad while five student-athletes were placed on the IWLCA Zap Sports Division II Academic Honor Roll. Karlie Rowe also received Northeast 10 All-Rookie Team honors after scoring 35 goals, the most by a Southern freshman since 2015. The Owls also improved on the defensive end as compared to the 2018 season, allowing fewer goals, shots per game, and free position shots. 
 
In addition to his responsibilities with the Owls since 2016, Siedlecki was the head varsity girl’s lacrosse coach at Daniel Hand High School in Madison, Conn. since 2009. At Hand, Siedlecki compiled a career record of 157-51 and also earned CIAC Class M Coach of the Year honors in 2015 and 2018 as well as Southern Connecticut Conference (SCC) Coach of the Year honors in 2015 and New Haven Register Coach of the Year honors in 2011.

Siedlecki guided Hand to the last four SCC Tournament Championships in addition to titles in 2009 and 2010, while also capturing SCC Regular-Season Championships in 2010, 2011, 2015, 2016 and 2018. Hand also finished as CIAC Class M Runner-ups in 2011, 2015 and 2018 and Semifinalists in 2017 and 2018. Siedlecki also coached five All-Americans that went on to play collegiately.
 
Siedlecki graduated from Union College with bachelor’s degrees in music and English in 2008. He then completed his master’s degree in English at Southern Connecticut in 2014 and his is currently working towards a certificate of advanced graduate studies in educational leadership at the University of New England.
