New Haven opened the scoring just 2:21 into the second half. Four Chargers huddled around the ball on a free kick about 30 yards from the goal line and on the left side of the field. Jelani Joslyn poked the ball between the legs Nick Pezzente. On the other side of Pezzente, Jessey Fernandez took one touch and then struck the ball. The Owls would strike for the equalizer just 3:38 later. Junior midfielder
Djordje Jankovic (Sabac, Serbia) served up his team-leading seventh assist of the season when he hit a corner kick from the right side. The ball found junior defender
Ancil Farrier (Los Bajos, Trinidad) inside the six-yard box in front of the New Haven net. Farrier struck the ball home for his fifth goal of the season.
Ogilvie would then notch the game-winner amidst a scramble in front of the net in the 84th minute. Freshman midfielder
Brandin McClay (East Taunton, Mass.) recorded the assist on Ogilvie's fifth goal of the season.
Lawless made one save in net to earn the victory for SCSU. James Hilaire made five saves in front of the New Haven goal in defeat.
