NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University Athletic Department and the Office of Institutional Advancement hosted 'Girls and Women in Sport' Day at Moore Fieldhouse today. Approximately 200 participants were exposed to a variety of fun activities, including clinics in basketball, cheerleading, field hockey, gymnastics, lacrosse, soccer, softball and track. The participants were also addressed by a guest speaker, SCSU President Dr. Cheryl Norton, along with complementary lunch and admission to the women's basketball game against Southern New Hampshire University.

Following the game, participants took part in an autograph session with members of the women's basketball team.
