NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The men's soccer team hosted the University of Massachusetts-Lowell on Saturday night at Jess Dow Field in their third conference match of the season. The final score of the game was 0-0, moving the Owls to (3-2-1), while the River Hawks go to (2-1-1).

In the first half of play, neither team could find the back of the net, leaving a 0-0 draw at halftime. The Owls did however hold a 2-0 advantage in shots on goal.

In the second half and overtimes of the game, once again, neither team could score to break the deadlock. Both teams fought hard in a very physical match.

Andrew Esposito (East Haven, Conn.) tallied seven saves for his third shutout of the season for the Owls. Ryan Richards made four saves for the River Hawks in the tie.

The Owls look for their fourth win of the season on Sept. 16 against the Lions of Molloy College at Jess Dow Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
