SCSU Men's Soccer Places Five on NE10 All-Conference Teams

RyaMANSFIELD, M.A.-- Southern Connecticut placed five student-athletes on the 2025 Northeast 10 All-Conference teams, as announced by the conference on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2025. 

Ryad Benmessaoud and Edward Mensah were named to the NE10 Second Team, while Jeremy Martin, Jah Nyanforh and Diego Flores were named to the Third Team. Nyanforh and Flores also earned All Rookie Team honors. 

In his first season with the Owls, Ryad Benmessaoud tallied three goals tied for second on the team with Jake Novoshelski and Mensah. Benmessaoud scored all three goals in the final four games of the season, including a goal in the second minute against Adelphi in the first round of the NE10 conference tournament. Benmessaoud's two assists tie him for second on the team. 

In his final season with the Owls, Edward Mensah earned his first All NE10 honors making the conferences' Second Team. Mensah ended the season with three goals, tying him for second on the team as a defender. Mensah started all 13 games he played, playing the full 90 minutes in 11 out of the 13 games. 

After transferring from Assumption, Jeremy Martin earned his first all conference honors making the NE10 Third Team. Martin led the Owls in goals (4), assists (3) and points (11). Martin scored two out of his four goals on Oct. 25 in a 4-1 win against Saint Anselm. Martin scored in the 32nd and 73rd minutes and added assist for a five point day. 

Jah Nyanforh earned both all NE10 Third Team and All Rookie Team honors in his first season with the Owls. Nyanforh played in 15 of the Owls 16 games this season. He started in 14 of those games, playing the full 90 minutes in 13 of those games. 

Diego Flores earned both All NE10 Third Team and All Rookie Team honors in his first season with the Owls. The freshman ended the season with 51 saves to 16 goals allowed for a .761 save percentage. Furthermore, Flores had seven shutouts tying him with NE10 conference Goalie of the Year Cam Hall for the conference lead. Five of Flores' seven shutouts were a part of a streak that lasted from Sept. 23 to Oct. 11.
