NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University Athletic Department and the Office of Institutional Advancement hosted the annual 'Girls and Women in Sport' Day event at Moore Fieldhouse on Saturday. More than 150 youngsters took part in the festivities, which started with a series of clinics with Owls' coaches and student-athletes. From there, the participants then enjoyed a cool-down session with SCSU alum and former Boston College women's basketball coach Cathy Inglese. The day wrapped up with a complimentary pizza lunch, a meet-and-greet with SCSU student-athletes, and lastly, admission to the basketball doubleheader against the College of Saint Rose.
