NYACK, N.Y. – On Friday night, the Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team extended its win streak to eight as they defeated Nyack, 3-1. The Owls are now 8-0 overall and 2-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference. With the loss, the Warriors fall to 0-2 overall on the season.
The Owls won the first two sets by the scores of 25-10 and 25-19 before falling in the third game, 25-23. However, they rebounded to take the match with a 25-17 win in set four.

Jenna Tammel (Spring Valley, Minn.) led the team with a game-high 12 kills and freshman
Kimberly Lachowicz (Mansfield, Texas) led the offensive attack with 13 assists. Junior
Robin Priest (Cheshire, Conn.) and freshman
Vanessa Sullivan (Paramus, N.J.) had 14 and 12 digs respectively.
Southern returns to action tomorrow for a double-header at Pelz Gym. The Owls host a tri-match and are scheduled to face Queens at 1 p.m. and USP at 5 p.m.
