Sydney Bennett earned All-East Region Second Team honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), as announced on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025. This is the first All-Region honor for Bennett, and she is the first SCSU volleyball player to receive this honor since assistant coach
Abigail Epstein earned All-Region Second Team honors in 2021.
Sydney Bennett had a remarkable season for the Owls in 2025. She was named to the All-Northeast 10 Conference Second Team.
Sydney Bennett played and started in all 24 matches for Southern Connecticut. Bennett ranked sixth in the NE10 in hitting percentage with .312, ranked fifth in blocks with a total of 84, ranked eighth in kills with an average of 2.64 kills per set and is ranked seventh in points with an average of 3.30 points per set.
She led the Owls with 84 blocks and was second on the team in kills with 230. Bennett holds the best attack percentage in a single match in the NE10 this season with a .786 against Caldwell. She recorded a career-best of 16 kills against Assumption and totaled a career-best of six block assists against Molloy. Additionally, Bennett was named the NE10 Conference Player of the Week on Sept. 15, 2025.
