Men’s Soccer Blanks Le Moyne, 1-0

Junior goalkeeper Andrew Esposito made four saves to record his eighth shutout in nine games as the Owls defeated Le Moyne, 1-0, in Tuesday's Northeast-10 Conference game.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Sophomore midfielder Yoni Feldman's (Ramat Gan, Israel) goal late in the first half lifted the Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team past Le Moyne, 1-0, in Tuesday's Northeast-10 Conference game. With the win the Owls improved to 10-2 overall, and 7-2 in NE-10 Conference play, while Le Moyne dropped to 6-3-3 on the year, 5-2-2 in the NE-10.

Le Moyne and SCSU played nearly a scoreless first half before Feldman took a rip from the upper right corner of Dolphins penalty box that found the back of the net to give the Owls a 1-0 lead 44:34 into the second half.

Junior goalkeeper Andrew Esposito (East Haven, Conn.) made four saves to record his third shutout in as many games. It marked the eighth time in nine games that Esposito has held the opposing team scoreless.

Matthew Silva made two saves for Le Moyne.

SCSU returns to action when it travels to take on Northeast-10 Conference foe University of Massachusetts Lowell on Saturday.
