Box Score Game One
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team had its unbeaten streak snapped today against Caldwell College in Philadelphia, Pa. with a 3-0 loss The Owls were 10-0 on the road before today's match.
Sarah Beres (Ellington, Conn.) had a team-high 0.273 hitting percentage with seven kills and three block assists.
Megan Lyons (Cold Spring, N.Y.) recorded a team-high eight kills with nine digs in the effort.
Kimberly Lachowicz (Mansfield, Texas) dished out 19 assists.
The Owls struggled to gain momentum against Caldwell being held to under a 0.059 hitting percentage through the first two sets. All three sets went much the same way, the Owls were neck and neck trading points in the first half of the set but soon became overwhelmed.
The Owls are now 15-7 on the season.
After today's set of matches, the Owls will be back in action Friday for a match against St. Anselm at 7:30 p.m.
