RINDGE, N.H. - The No. 25 nationally ranked Southern Connecticut State University women's soccer team suffered its second loss of the season today in 3-0 loss to Franklin Pierce.
The game was back-and-forth but the Ravens came out on top. The Owls out shot the Ravens, 13-12 but weren't able to hit the back of the net. Senior
Jenna Mallico (Milford, Conn.) led the Owls with two shots on net.
LeAnn DiSisto (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.),
Suzane Pires (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and
Hannah Spreckley (York, England) each added a shot on goal apiece.
Goaltender
Jacquelyn Fede (North Haven, Conn.) stopped four shots on goal. This is the first game this season that Fede has allowed more than one goal in one game. Fede allowed only one goal in the previous 12 games played.
The Owls move to 10-2-1 on the season and 8-2-1 in Northeast-10 Conference play. They are scheduled to play two games next week. The Owls first game will be Tuesday October, 18 when they travel to Lowell, Mass. to play UMass-Lowell at 7 p.m.
