NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team defeated the University of New Haven today, 81-57. The Owls shot 45% from the floor and limited the Chargers to only 42%. Southern Connecticut forced New Haven to turn the ball over 31 times. The Owls largest lead was 26 points with two minutes left in the game.
Five players for the Owls had at least 11 points in the game.
Sylvonya Moore (Stockton, Calif.) recorded a team-high 20 points. Moore finished the day with five rebounds and four assists to go along with the 20 points.
Camille Fantini (Andover, Mass.) chipped in 15 points, eight rebounds and five steals.
Keshia Primo (Mississauga, Ontario) recorded 14 points, three steals and two assists.
Moni Smith-Ocran (Bronx, N.Y.) was the only Owl to record a double-double in the game, scoring 13 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.

Mariah Hankton (Upper Marlboro, Md.) tallied 11 points off the bench.
The Owls move to 5-3 on the season and 5-2 in Northeast-10 Conference action. Their next game will be Monday, December 19 when they host Eckerd College. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 6 p.m.
