With the win, the Owls swept the season series, having defeated New Haven in overtime, 64-60, on Jan. 2.
The Owls improved to 9-13 overall, 5-12 in league play with the victory. New Haven dropped to 2-19, 1-16 in conference.
A strong first half allowed the Owls to build a 14-point halftime lead, 37-23. The Owls led by as many as 17 points in the first half. Pierson led her team in first half scoring with eight points.
The Owls continued their dominance and clean play leading by as many as 36 points. They finished 20 assists on 27 baskets on the day and had a shooting percentage of 43.5%, for the game.
Senior
Logan Lentz (Chambersburg, Pa.) added a game-high seven assists and sophomore Keisha Primo (Mississauga, Ontario) scored nine points.
The Owls will be back home for a match against Pace University on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
