NEW HAVEN, Conn. –
Paul Templeton (Saltcoats, Scotland) of the Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team scored two goals, both off penalty kicks, in a win over Bloomfield College 3-1 at home today. He scored twice in the second half with the first goal in the 59th minute and again ten minutes later in the 69th minute.
Luke Perry put the Owls up 1-0 in the first half off an unassisted rebound goal in the 12th minute of play.
The Owls controlled the ball for most of the first half while totaling 11 shots to Bloomfield's six. In the second half, the game evened up in terms of shots. The Owls tallied eight shots on goal, while Bloomfield recorded six.
Andrew Esposito (East Haven, Conn.) recorded four saves on the day.
Yoni Feldman (Ramat Gan, Israel) had a game-high five shot attempts.
The Owls improve to 2-1 on the season.
The Owls will be back in action Tuesday, Sept. 13th away against Dowling College at 7 p.m.
