NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Friday night the thirteenth ranked Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University outlasted Southern Connecticut State University in a Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer match up, 1-0.
Dominic Samuel scored in the 27th minute for Southern New Hampshire (11-2, 7-2 NE-10) on a free kick that was bent into the box by Christian Rodriguez and headed into the lower right corner by Samuel, which proved to be the difference in the game.

The Owls got a good performance in net from redshirt sophomore
Stephen Sasso (Orange, Conn.) who made a key save in the 82nd minute to keep hope alive for Southern. Sasso finished with four saves in the loss.
SCSU falls to 5-5-1 on the season and 4-5-1 in conference play and will be back in action Tuesday night when they host the University of Bridgeport at Jess Dow Field at 7 p.m.
