WORCESTER, Mass. –
Jade Black (Hudson, Ohio) of the Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team notched her second straight double-double with 16 digs and 10 kills as the Owls swept Assumption on the road earlier tonight.
Lauren McVey (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) reached a season-best 25 digs to go alongside eight kills in the effort.
Sarah Beres (Ellington, Conn.) tied her season-best with 11 kills, eight digs and four blocks.
Nicole Hauser (Stevens Port, Wis.) managed nine kills, a 0.471-hitting percentage, 17 assists and eight digs in the all-around effort.
Morgan Carman (Mesa, Ariz.) chimed in with 19 digs and
Taylor Carlson (Centennial, Colo.) added 20 assists with six digs. To round out the Owls' offense,
Kelly Gunneson (Cheshire, Conn.) and
Olivia Lathrop (Farmington, Conn.) had four kills and five kills, respectively, with two blocks each.
The Owls cruised to their 12th win of the season by a score of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-20.
The Owls are now 12-6 overall and back to 0.500 in Northeast-10 Conference play with a 3-3 record.
The Owls will be back in action Wednesday Oct. 16 to host Post scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
