SPRINGFIELD, Mass. –
Lauren McVey (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) of the Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team contributed her fourth double-double of the season to help push the Owls, 3-1, past Bloomfield on the second day of the AIC Tournament. McVey had 18 digs with 13 kills in the effort.
Nicole Hauser (Stevens Port, Wis.) assisted 26 points with six digs and four kills, while
Taylor Carlson (Centennial, Colo.) had 14 assists.
Sarah Beres (Ellington, Conn.) added 10 kills with four block assists and two service aces.
Olivia Lathrop (Farmington, Conn.) contributed six kills and four block assists, while
Natasha Carlbert (Southington, Conn.) had eight digs and four kills.
After a slow start out of the gate, the Owls cruised to their eight win of the season by a score of 14-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-23.
The Owls are now 8-3 on the season.
The Owls will be on their home court Oct. 1 scheduled for 7 p.m. against Bentley.
