Box Score
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior Daquan King (Plainville, Conn.) registered a pair of goals as the No. 7 nationally ranked Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team recorded a 3-0 victory over Saint Michael's on Senior Day today.

The Owls improved to 13-1 overall and 10-1 in Northeast-10 Conference play. St. Michael's is now 8-7 and 4-7 in league action.

SCSU opened the scoring just 9:57 into the game when Chae Brangman (St. George's, Bermuda) netted his fifth goal of the year. Brangman corralled a loose ball near the top of the box and turned quickly before firing a shot off the hands of the Purple Knights' keeper.

King connected for his seventh of the year in the 30th minute. He dribbled along the goal line before cutting back inside and firing a low shot into the cage.

King added his second of the day in the 59th minute, as he took a perfectly placed pass from Mads Larsen (Trondheim, Norway) in the middle of the field and deposited a shot just under the bar.

Goalie Noah Varonier (Miller Place, N.Y.) made one save to earn the win.

The Owls are back in action on Tuesday at Adelphi.
