OWLS PREPARE FOR THREE GAMES THIS WEEKAfter playing two games last week, the Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team prepares for three games this week. On Monday night, the Owls tackle non-conference foe Concordia (N.Y.) at 5:30 p.m. Over the weekend, SCSU hosts Le Moyne College on Saturday at 12 p.m. before taking on Post University Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m.
ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST CONCORDIA (N.Y.)Southern Connecticut leads the all-time series against the Clippers, 15-1.
ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST LE MOYNESouthern Connecticut holds an 18-12 edge over the Dolphins in the all-time series.
ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST POSTSouthern Connecticut leads the all-time series against the Eagles, 11-0.
LAST TIME OUTSouthern Connecticut posted a 2-0 record last week and improving to 3-4 on the season. On Wednesday evening, the Owls held off Saint Rose, 78-75, before defeating American International at home, 73-66.
NORTHEAST-10 SOUTHWEST STANDINGSAfter the 2-0 week, Southern Connecticut jumps up to No. 2 in the Northeast-10 Southwest Division standings. Adelphi leads the division with a 5-0 conference mark.
HANKTON'S SEASON-HIGHHankton led the Owls' offense with a team-high 26 points, three assists and three steals in the Owls' win over Saint Rose on Wednesday.
FIVE ON THE SEASONIn the win over American International on Saturday,
Jackie Beathea picked up her fifth double-double of the season with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
BEATHEA STILL ON TOPJackie Beathea continues to lead the Owls in both points (14.1 ppg) and in rebounds (12.0 rpg).
GROSSBARD AND HANKTON LEADING THE WAYNicole Grossbard also continues to lead the team in assists with 46 while
Mariah Hankton leads the Owls in steals with 11.

DESALVO NOTEBert DeSalvo is in his first full season as head coach for the Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team. Entering the season, DeSalvo had compiled a 99-26 (.792) overall record as a head coach.
IN THE POLLSSouthern Connecticut was selected seventh in the Southwest Division according to the Northeast-10 Conference preseason poll.

LOOKING BACK ON THE SEASON THAT WASThe Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team closed the regular season with 12 wins and qualified for the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. The Owls had three student-athletes recognized by the league with year-end honors.
TWO NAMED TO NE-10 ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMSJackie Beathea was selected Third Team All-Conference and freshman standout
Taylor McLaughlin was named to the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team.
AMONG THE NE-10 LEADERSAmongst the returners, the Owls had two players finish in the top 10 of Northeast-10 Conference participants in three categories.

EXCELLING IN THE CLASSROOMSouthern Connecticut had nine student-athletes selected to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for their work in the classroom during the 2013-14 academic year.
