For the second time in four games,
Kevin Joslyn recorded the game-winning goal in an Owls' triumph. He converted a penalty kick with 1:29 remaining on Saturday in the 2-1 win over Assumption.

Chae Brangman has registered a point in three consecutive games - goals agains Mercy and Assumption sandwiched around an assist against Bentley.

Junior
Daquan King was selected to the Northeast-10 Conference weekly honor roll for his play in the Owls' first two outings of the year. King netted a pair of goals in Southern's 4-1 win over Mercy.

Kevin Joslyn scored only 72 seconds into play and the Owls made it stand up from there in a 1-0 season opening victory over No. 8 nationally ranked LIU-Post.

Freshman goalkeeper
Noah Veronier earned victories in his first two collegiate appearances during the opening weekend. He stopped four shots to collect a shutout in the win over LIU-Post and followed that up with two saves in the victory over Mercy.

The Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team was ranked as high as No. 9 in the region in 2013. The Owls closed the year by qualifying for the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament and totaled 10 wins.

DUO COLLECTS ALL-REGION LAURELS
Sebastian Brems and
Jonas Folstad were both recognized as All-Region performers at the conclusion of the 2013 season. Brems was honored by both the NSCAA and by Daktronics, while Folstad was tabbed for the Daktronics team.

BREMS NAMED NE-10 ROOKIE OF THE YEAR; EIGHT OWLS HONORED
Eight members of the Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team captured year-end honors from the Northeast-10 Conference.
Sebastian Brems and
Jonas Folstad earned First-Team honors, with Brems also being recognized as the league's Rookie of the Year.
